Lyubitel-166 Olympic Edition
The "Lyubitel-166" is a Soviet medium-format twin-lens reflex camera tailored for amateur photographers, developed as an evolution of the "Lyubitel-2" model.
From 1976 to 1981, a total of 69,120 units were produced, with manufacturing ceasing due to issues related to the film advance mechanism.
Technical Specifications:
The camera features a plastic body, while the lens mounts, viewfinder tube, and internal mechanisms are made of metal. It utilizes 120 format film, capturing images at a size of 6x6 cm, which allows for 12 exposures per roll. The shutter cocking mechanism is integrated with the film winding system and includes a frame counter along with a lock to prevent double exposures. The shutter release button and the dials for adjusting shutter speed and aperture are ergonomically designed for ease of use. The central between-the-lens shutter provides speeds of 1/250, 1/125, 1/60, 1/30, 1/15, and "B," featuring a scale with weather symbols to aid in exposure settings. There is no provision for a release cable thread. The central synchronization contact is of the "X" type, compatible with any flash synchronization speed, although it lacks a cable synchronization contact. The shooting lens is a "T-22" 4.5/75 lens, equipped with an anti-reflective coating.
