The Kiev-30 is a compact subminiature camera manufactured in the Soviet Union. It can be collapsed to three-quarters of its size for easy transport in a vest pocket. On the back of the camera, there is a dual-slice analog calculator that helps determine shutter speed and aperture, using ASA values and weather symbols as input variables. Its design is somewhat similar to that of the Minolta-16, but it boasts the added benefit of a third thumb-wheel for focusing, which becomes accessible when the camera is opened for use. This model was the first Kiev subminiature camera to utilize cassettes with unperforated film, allowing for a larger frame size, although Minolta 16 cassettes are also compatible.
