Kiev 19 Film Camera

The Kiev 19 is a 35mm SLR camera produced by Arsenal in the former USSR, launched in 1985. It features a Nikon bayonet lens mount with stop-down metering and supports film speeds ranging from 25 to 400. The camera is equipped with a metal focal plane shutter that operates at speeds from 1/2 to 1/500.

Shutter release: located on the top plate.
Cocking lever: also functions to wind the film, has a short stroke, and is retractable.
Frame counter: additive type with auto-reset, positioned next to the cocking lever.
Viewfinder: eye-level SLR pentaprism.
Exposure meter: CdS TTL metering, operates in a stop-down manner.
Film speed range: 25-400 ASA, with the setting dial located beneath the rewind button; to adjust, press the small silver button next to it.
Exposure setting: The metering system activates automatically when the depth of field preview lever is pressed. Exposure is adjusted by modifying the exposure time and aperture until both the red minus and plus LEDs illuminate. A lit plus or minus indicates overexposure or underexposure, respectively.
Rewind lever: folding crank located on the right side of the top plate.
Rewind release: button located on the bottom plate.
Flash PC socket: situated on the right side of the prism, with a flash sync speed of 1/60.
Hot-shoe available.
Self-timer: not included.
Back cover: opens by lifting the rewind lever, includes a memory slot; features a stamp reading Made in CCCP or alternatively an ISO and DIN speed chart ranging from 20 ISO/14 DIN to 800 ISO/30 DIN stamped MADE IN USSR.
